Frequently Asked Questions

My pricing is aligned with standard midwifery care in the area, with a variety of packages designed to meet different needs. I  intentionally maintain a limited client load so I can provide highly personalized, attentive care—reflected in the premium services I offer. Yes! A deposit is collected when care begins, and the remaining balance is typically divided into convenient monthly payments, with full payment due by 36 weeks of pregnancy. However, I’m happy to be flexible and work with you to create a plan that fits your needs. Payments are accepted via cash, check, major credit cards, and HSA/FSA cards.

I do not bill insurance directly; however, many PPO plans offer reimbursement for midwifery care. I’m pleased to partner with Earthside Billing, a service that specializes in insurance billing for families choosing midwifery care. If you’d like to find out whether your plan may cover care with me, you can complete a simple online form to request a Verification of Benefits (a $50 fee applies). If you decide to move forward with Earthside Billing for reimbursement, you will contract with them directly.

Birth can happen just about anywhere! The most important factor is your comfort level. If you want to give birth in your home, I can make it happen.

If the need arises for a hospital transfer during labor, I will join you.  You do not lose your team!  Upon transfer to the hospital OB or CNM, I will provide non-medical labor support and help you navigate your choices.

The earlier the better!  This gives us the most time to get to know eachother.  But, you can switch providers at any time during your pregnancy.  I accept clients who are newly pregnant, and up until 36-weeks of pregnancy.
